In conversation: Menopause and mental health

Hormonal changes experienced during perimenopause and after menopause affect every aspect of our being; we may experience physical and emotional symptoms, changes in cognitive function, and more. It’s no surprise that something that affects our thoughts, feelings and behaviours can lead to feelings of anxiety, low mood or changes to our emotional wellbeing.

Join West Kent Mind in conversation with Jeanette Forder of Phoenix Wellness & Life Coaching, and Daisy Tappenden of Tap Into Your Health nutritional therapy. This special event is kindly hosted by The Finance Hub.

Who should attend?

Anyone 18+.  Whether you’re approaching perimenopause, post-menopausal, or just want to know what any of that means, all are welcome no matter what gender or stage of life.

What can I expect?

A friendly and relaxed environment where a facilitated discussion between our panel members will be followed by a Q&A session. A light lunch will be provided.

When and where?

Tuesday 18 October 12noon-2pm.  The Finance Hub, The Potteries, Linden Park Rd, Tunbridge Wells TN2 5QF

What will I learn?

We’ll be discussing how and why hormonal changes affect our moods, thoughts and emotions, as well as considering various ways to look after our wellbeing during perimenopause and beyond. Since our gut is sometimes called our second brain, we’ll also look at the impact of what we eat on our (peri)menopause experiences and our mental health.

What does it cost?

£10 per person.
